Official Golf Rules with the following exceptions:
League Rules
- You may improve your lie 1 club length, anywhere it lies. (excluding greens !)
- If your ball goes Out of Bounds, or it is lost take a drop where it went out, and a 1 stroke penalty.
- Play “Ready Golf” i.e. – don’t wait for others, hit if you’re ready and the way is safe and clear.
- Keep it moving. All golfers take a maximum double par for total strokes. If you wish, once you are within 3 strokes of the maximum, you may pick up your ball and chip on and take 2 strokes on the green.
- If you can’t find your ball within a few minutes, consider it lost.
- If you are the first group out, please take out the markers for “closest” and “longest”, ask at the clubhouse for them. If you are the last group out, please bring in the markers.
- Have FUN!!
“Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” Rules
The rules applies to both Men and Ladies.
- Normal holes for Closest can be # 2, #7 and #14
- Normal holes for Longest can be #9, #16 and #18
- Balls for Closest must be on the green
- Balls for Longest must be on the fairway
- You may only win Closest once each before July 1st and once each after July 1st
- You may only win Longest once each before July 1st and once each after July 1st
- Last group out – bring in the markers and give the paper inserts to a league organizer or send them to Glenn Matthews – Rm 102 Elgin Hall .
- We try to announce winners that night.
